History

Kyle C. Wright, founder and owner of North Carolina School of Advanced Bodywork, Inc. is a practicing massage therapist with over 25 years of experience. He has founded and developed massage therapy schools throughout the southeast specializing in clinical massage therapy. NCSAB is dedicated to the idea that an education can be fun while preparing the student with some of the most highly marketable massage skills and techniques available. NCSAB offers advanced training in massage therapy; providing students with broad employment options upon graduating and licensing. Nestled within the Western North Carolina Mountains, NCSAB blends the highly requested clinical program with the ease and comfort of the area making it a truly life changing experience.

Facility

NCSAB FacilityThe North Carolina School of Advanced Bodywork is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Asheville North Carolina. The facility itself is open and spacious providing a wonderful environment for class size up to 14 including plenty of room for lectures, hands-on instruction, and clinical internship. The vision was to maintain the charm of an arts and crafts bungalow while totally renovating and expanding the school with two new classrooms, treatment rooms, library, bathrooms and an extended porch which overlooks the trees and greenery for student breaks. Electric massage tables, portable massage tables, audiovisual equipment, digital presentations and many anatomical charts and tools are utilized for enhanced learning. A reference library is available for students, graduates and staff to use.

Location

NCSAB is located on Highway 74A in the heart of Fairview. It is located 10 miles southeast of downtown Asheville and close to the Blue Ridge Parkway which is glorified with magnificent views of the North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains. The school’s location provides easy access from I-26, I-40 and I-240 and with the newly expanded 5-lane highway, 74A is a stress-free and easy commute. Highway 74A (Charlotte Hwy) is a scenic highway which runs through Fairview and is the gateway to Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. This is where visitors go to hike, bike, kayak, fish and wander through the small charming towns. Another draw to Fairview is the Hickory Nut Gap Farm, which raises organic meats and free range eggs and includes an apple orchard where visitors can choose their apples from big bins or enjoy freshly pressed apple cider.
