2.Leveling” The Pelvis
3.Mastering” The Scalene Muscles
4.Freeing Up” The Scapula & Rotator Cuff

Overview and Dates:

Clinical massage therapy and structural bodywork are two different therapy disciplines.

Clinical massage therapyinvolves the ability to understand and effectively identify and manipulate the soft tissues of the body for the purpose ofreducing chronic, excess muscle tensions that contribute to the onset of pain and dysfunction. It offers anin-depth look at the various causes, symptoms and conditions of muscle tension and the principles to reverse thattension.

Structural bodywork scientifically tracks down the aches, pains, and dysfunctions that are not sufficientlyresponsive to the usual localized treatment (at the location of symptoms) of neuromuscular and myofascial structures.

This unique approach to skillful resolution of chronic muscle tension and the problems it causes is the primary skill you’ll be developing here at NCSAB. This skill — and the related knowledge — is what will set you apart from many, if not most, of the therapists practicing today.

1. “Mastering” the Psoas Muscle - Instructor: Kyle Wright, LMBT, NCTMB
One-Day Workshop 8 CE’s awarded (NCTMB) Friday May 3rd or Saturday May 25th
Located at NCSAB
Cost: $150.00
*This investment will take your knowledge and treatment skills of the Psoas Major to a whole new level.
Enroll by calling NCSAB (828) 628–3007 or email admissions@ncsab.com
Class is limited to 14 students

This one-day workshop will enhance your understanding of this hidden prankster. The Psoas Major is often the culprit of chronic back pain and chronic back weakness. This one-day workshop will teach the student how to access into the deeper layers of the abdominal wall uncovering the hidden neuro-traps that are often the root cause of failed modalities that merely, chase the pain.
There will be No Pain involved during this workshop.
No Pain = More Gain

2. “Leveling” the Pelvis - Instructor: Kyle Wright, LMBT, NCTMB
 One-Day Workshop 8 CE’s awarded (NCTMB) Friday July12th or Saturday July 27th
Located at NCSAB
Cost: $150.00
*This investment will teach you how to evaluate pelvic and thoracic distortions that often lead to chronic pain of the hips, SI joint and lumbar and torso regions. Learning these skills will take your practice to a whole new level.
Enroll by calling NCSAB (828) 628–3007 or Email admissions@ncsab.com
Class is limited to 14 students

This one-day workshop will enhance your understanding of the primary muscles that distort the pelvis. Pelvic distortions and deviated leg lengths can show up in many different ways. To the untrained eye, what you see during a postural analysis is often a false illusion as to what is actually occurring structurally. You will learn structural assessment and the forward thinking strategies that will set you apart from many therapists that merely chase the pain. My philosophy is that you must level the pelvis to restore homeostasis to the central nervous system. After all, if the pelvis is not level then the spine will not be level. This is a must workshop for all who work with C/P’s who suffer from back and hip pain. Pelvic distortions stemming from muscular imbalances are often the cause of much of the chronic back, hip pain and weakness.
There will be No Pain involved during this workshop.
No Pain = More Gain

3. “Mastering” the Scalene Muscles - Instructor: Kyle Wright, LMBT, NCTMB
One-Day Workshop 8 CE’s awarded (NCTMB) Friday August 30th or Saturday September 14th Located at NCSAB
Cost: $150.00
*Your investment will take your knowledge and treatment skills of the Scalenes to a whole new level.
Enroll by calling NCSAB (828) 628–3007 or email admissions@ncsab.com
Class is limited to 14 students

This one-day workshop will enhance your understanding of these neurovascular entrappers.
The Scalenes have the ability to pull down on the cervical spine entrapping / compressing the brachial plexus at or around the site of the exiting nerve roots. This one-day workshop will teach the student how to access the deeper layers of the anterior neck uncovering the hidden neuro-traps that are often the root cause of upper extremity tingling, numbness, pain and weakness.
There will be No Pain involved during this workshop.
No Pain = More Gain

4. “Freeing Up” the Scapula & Rotator Cuff - Instructor: Kyle Wright, LMBT, NCTMB
One-Day Workshop 8 CE’s awarded (NCTMB) Friday October 4th or Saturday October 19th Located at NCSAB
Cost: $150.00
*Your investment will take your knowledge and treatment skills of the Rotator Cuff muscles to a whole new level.
Enroll by calling NCSAB (828) 628–3007 or Email admissions@ncsab.com
Class is limited to 14 student

This one-day workshop will enhance your understanding of how the “stuck scapula” translates into rotator cuff issues. The rotator cuff muscles are often the secondary issues when the scapula is glued down. One must learn how to free the scapula first, and then the rotator cuff muscles don’t have to work as hard. Neuromuscular exhaustion, eakness, referral pain and often impingement and tearing can occur when imbalances of the shoulder girdle are present. This is a must workshop for all therapists who work with C/P’s who suffer from chronic and debilitating shoulder syndromes.
There will be No Pain involved during this workshop.
No Pain = More Gain
